Wool Tweed Fabrics
Tweed, a category which represents several fabrics of medium-to-heavy weight, is rougher in surface texture and produced in a great variety of colors and weave effects. Most tweeds are made entirely of wool; but an increasing number consist of blends.
The wide range of modified twill weaves in use includes herringbones, diamonds, chevrons, cross twills, and checks, along with striped and heather effects in many tones and hues. Stable and hard-wearing apparel items are made in different weights.
