Alencon Lace Fabrics
A delicate lace usually made with fine, solid flower designs and outlined by heavy threads. One edge may be scalloped. This lace originated in the French town of Alencon in the 16th century.
Lace fabric is decorative ‘openwork’ fabric with sensitive uses of spaces and solids. It is a classic, feminine fabric that looks beautiful in both day and evening wear.
