Printed Silk Charmeuse Fabrics

Printed silk charmeuse features a design (or print) that has been dyed in a localized, patterned area. Charmeuse is a lightweight fabric woven with a satin weave that gives the front of the fabric a smooth finish—lustrous and reflective—whereas the back has a matte finish. Most commonly used in evening wear as well as blouses, dresses, linings, and lingerie. Ideal when used for gowns with a form-fitting bias cut, ruching, or shimmery ruffles.
